This is a most unusual piece which we understand was in the collection of a former Whitefriars employee, and was probably a one-off test piece. The millefiore format is a fairly standard six row concentric. It has a white monk on blue background logo and 1970 figures in separate canes. The item is 3.3 inches in diameter and 2.9 inches high with a basal rim 0.3 inches high, the central well is just over 1 inch deep by 1.6 inches in diameter. The rim which is approximately 0.3 inches wide is decorated with 12 overlapping ball cuts. Weight just under 1 Kg.
